Undergraduate Lena Anderson Receives AIPG National Scholarship
We are delighted to share that Lena Anderson, an undergraduate student in Earth and Planetary Sciences, has been awarded the American Institute of Professional Geologists (AIPG) National Undergraduate Scholarship. This scholarship recognizes outstanding geology students across the country by supporting their educational expenses and fostering their involvement in the American Institute of Professional Geologists (AIPG).
As part of this honor, Lena’s scholarship essay, “Why I Want to Be a Geologist,” will be published in an upcoming edition of The Professional Geologist, the flagship publication of AIPG. This opportunity highlights her thoughtful perspective and dedication to the profession. Currently a junior, Anderson also works as a research assistant at the UC Davis Cooper Lab. We warmly congratulate Lena on this remarkable achievement and look forward to seeing her continued growth as a future leader in Earth Sciences.
